Eric Cantona is a co-owner of FC United of Manchester. Just let that sink in.
In fact, he was so impressed by the club during his visit to Broadhurst Park that he decided to sign himself and all his family up as co-owners on the spot.
Whilst visiting Broadhurst Park as part of a private event he was involved in, Eric got talking to a couple of our long time members and volunteers and was immediately enamoured with our “young but great history”
Eric said he joined FC United because we do things differently. All of our members get an equal say on the future of this club; and we’re driven by fairness, inclusivity, and a desire to put people before profit.
You can see the footage of his day at Broadhurst Park, as well as a sit down interview he gave talking about the club and the current issues surrounding Manchester United, here.
As we go into our 20th season, it’s fantastic to see the magic of this club inspire the greats. Our message is still as important as ever, and we would love you to be part of shaping our future.
Season Tickets and Memberships for next season are on sale now. You still have time to purchase your season ticket using our Flexible Payment Plan, and spread the cost over 6 months.
Join Eric as a co-owner and have your say in running a football club built by the fans, for the fans!
The hugely anticipated FCUM Legends Vs MUFC Legends game is just around the corner, and it’s promising to be a special day.
This will be the first ever match between the two clubs, and it couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time. The fans of both clubs came together month for United United Day, showing that we stand together against the Glazer ownership and the last 20 years of mismanagement at Manchester United.
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we get another opportunity to come together and celebrate, as some proper legends from both clubs take to the pitch at Broadhurst Park.
Get yourselves to that football ground!
Watch treble winners Wes Brown and David May roll back the years with cult heroes Clayton Blackmore, Lee Martin, Russell Beardsmore, and Keith Gillespie. Plus many more legends to be announced in the coming weeks!
The FC United Legends will be led by our all-time top goalscorer, Tom Greaves, our most capped player Jerome Wright, and FA Cup hero Michael Norton. They will be joined by club captain Charlie Ennis, former captain Dave Brown, and fans’ favourites from our inaugural season, Joz Mitten and Rory Patterson.
Tickets for the game are available now and we’d love to see you there. Bring your friends and family down for what is sure to be an unforgettable afternoon.
