Harry Maguire, a year too late? Podcast #54

Manchester United 4 v Chelsea 0. Yes, you did read that correctly! United smashed four goals past Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side on the opening day of our Premier League season.

What a start it was, however it doesn’t tell the whole story of the game. Especially when we could have been two or three goals down ourselves by the time half-time came. United were the better team in both halves in my opinion, but Chelsea certainly had the best chances in the opening forty-five minutes of the game.

United rallied in the second-half though by cutting out the errors, relaxing and playing football on the counter attack. As soon as they did that they grew in confidence and just as Chelsea thought they might be able to get back into it. Bang. United scored two goals in two minutes. Brilliant!
