Lukaku breaking stats – podcast 40

Manchester United 3 vs Southampton 2. Great day at Old Trafford today, what an entertaining game of football that was from start to finish, well except when Southampton scored first and then their game plan was to time waste for the remaining sixty-five minutes.

Thankfully they only managed it for a little while as they saw us of to half-time, after that United got going a bit more and in the second-half they got both the speed and tempo of the game up.

The game changing factor for me though was when Sanchez got injured and Ole replaced him with Dalot. As soon as he got on the pitch the tempo went up another notch and before you knew we’d equalised and then gone in front.

Despite Southampton pegging us back with a wonderful free-kick, United kept going and that man Lukaku who had worked his socks off, found space to score his third righted footed shot of his last four goals. Well played reds!
