United 0 v West Ham 1. It was all change last night in the starting line-ups in the Carabao Cup for both United and West Ham, compared to our Premier League meeting on Sunday. Still, we had a good enough side to win the match, but unfortunately a fair few players didn’t perform or take their chance. No need to mention names, if you watched the match then you know who I’m talking about.
It’s not as though we didn’t create the chances either, we did, however poor finishing and not being clinical enough were our also our downfall. Am I gutted we lost? Absolutely I am. I want us to win every game and to try and win every trophy. We lost though, these things happen and we move on, just like we did when we lost in the semi-finals of this competition last season and the season before.
I’m just more disappointed with some of our player’s performances, because not only are they letting the club down, more importantly they’re letting down us the fans. And it’s not good enough. Don’t get me wrong, players can have bad games, but there are absolutely no excuses not to put the effort in.
