Roma 3 (5) v Manchester United 2 (8). What went on in Rome last night? I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an open game of semi-final football involving United before. What with over thirty odd shots in the match and David de Gea our clear man-of-the-match despite Edison Cavani scoring two goals himself.
Not to be critical of course, as United had already pretty much put themselves into a European Final after last week’s second-half performance. However, they could have maybe been just a little bit more switched on inside the Stadio Olimpico last night and not let the game be so open.
Anyway, Not to worry! Brilliant finishing from Cavani and some outstanding reflex saves from David de Gea have seen us heading to Gdansk, Poland on 26th May. We’re off to an 8th European Final!
