A Thursday night in Sheffield - podcast #140

Sheffield United 2 v Manchester United 3. Another sloppy start from United last night! How many more times are we going to concede in the first twenty minutes? It’s brilliant that we keep getting away with it (in the league), but it’s absolutely something that needs cutting out.

We were lucky to not go 2-0 down five minutes or so minutes after conceding the first, when Sheffield United created a great chance after more lack of concentration at the back.

United then got their act together though and tried to create chance after chance in behind their defence. Frustratingly I think we were caught offside four times before finally the forwards timed their runs correctly and finish brilliantly to put us 2-1 up.

The Blades continued to stay in the game throughout and you knew they’d get more chances. Thankfully though we kept them at bay when we should have really been finishing them off with a fourth. Great win. Roll on Sunday.
