Tony Martial Flops Again - podcast #192

Strange team selection from Ole today I thought, with both Matic and Martial getting a start. Sancho and Varane were both left on the bench, with Mason Greenwood back out on the right after his superb performance in a central role against L**ds last week.

Safe to say it didn’t really work. Martial sadly looked more like the player that contributed the square root of F-All last season, rather than the guy who was banging them in for fun after the Premier League resumed after lockdown in 2020.

Greenwood was the man who saved United still, after Che Adams deflected strike had put Saints ahead.

Overall it was two points dropped for United, who really need to win games like this if they are to challenge at the top. There will be little margin for error in this season’s title race.
