Villarreal 0 v Manchester United 2. A win for our interim United manager Michael Carrick in charge of his first game. Job done. Well done.
Not a great first half, but it was certainly nice to see a few different faces starting the match, rather than the same old players who haven’t been playing well recently.
De Gea made some good saves and kept us in the game at one point in the second-half. Then some good work by Fred and our subs and the main man Ronaldo was at it again. Great to see Sancho score as well.
Atmosphere sounded superb on the TV from our away fans, excellent as always and they certainly deserved to see us top Group F and qualify for the Round-of-16. On to Chelsea in the league we go on Sunday. Where a United win is expected. As always.
