Young Boys 2 v Manchester United 1. A bright start from United last night with us in control and taking the lead early on through Ronaldo. Then the sending off happened, not for me, but they’re the current rules I suppose.
Then some very strange substitutes from Ole for the remainder of the game. Something we’re not use to him doing that often, subs that is, not how many. And although we nearly got away with a point, it wasn’t to be.
A massive error from Lingard in the dying seconds and United were defeated inside the Wankdorf Stadium (Stade de Suisse). Which, to be fair, sounded quite noisy throughout the whole game, even more so with the small amount of away fans allowed in.
Anyway, well played Young Boys, you ground out the win. As for United, not a great evening at all, but with five more Champions League group games to go I’m confident we’ll be fine. Although I’m sure there will be a media meltdown because we’ve lost a game. Always is, ridiculous. Roll on West Ham away on Sunday.
