Manchester City 0 v Manchester United 2. What a start to Derby Day in Manchester yesterday with United taking the lead inside two minutes after Martial was brought down by Jesus for a penalty moments earlier. Bruno did the rest and stepped up from 12-yards to give us the lead.
Recently we’ve been so use to seeing United start games slowly and clumsily in the opening ten minutes or so. Not yesterday, we started brightly and got straight at City from the off which was great to see.
I still wasn’t overly pleased with the amount of simple passes we gave away again in dangerous areas though, especially in the first-half. However, credit where is credit is due, when we didn’t have the ball we defended well and when we did keep the ball we attacked well and looked dangerous.
Great win! The better team won and it was gutting not be there, it’s wins like that that make you miss not going to the matches even more. Anyway, hopefully after that victory we can now finish the rest of the season as strongly as possible after our recent run of poor performances.
