Man Utd player ‘misses next match’ – podcast #170

Granada 0 v Manchester United 2. It became the theme of the night last night as United player after United player seemed to pick up yellow cards. Which means we have quite a few players missing from next week’s second-leg at Old Trafford. Those players are Maguire, McTominay and Luke Shaw.

Thankfully Victor Lindelof didn’t get a yellow card, otherwise he too would have been missing, he did however get a wonderful assist through to Rashford who gave us the lead after half-an-hour.

Long balls over the top seem to be a thing of the past these days, but it has frustrated me all season that we don’t do it often enough. Obviously it is never something you want to see your team doing all the time, but mixing it with playing out from the back as well as counting attacking is perfectly fine.

Overall, last night wasn’t the most entertaining of games of course, but it’s job done at the end of the day and I’m okay with that. Hopefully a few squad players will get some more game time next Thursday now with the suspensions and other players currently missing like Bailly and Martial.
