Manchester United 0 v Manchester City 2. I honestly thought we couldn’t perform any worse than we did against them lot at home two weekends ago, clearly I was wrong. That was horrible today!
I can always handle defeats, it’s part of football, but to get beat and go down without even a fight is not acceptable ever. We honestly looked like we’d given up from the very start today and it was truly awful to watch. City were good, they made football look so simple, but we made it so easy for them and even when we did win the ball back, we just gave it straight back to them.
As for our defending. I’ve managed a Sunday morning football team before now and I would not accept the basic errors I’ve seen today from them. Let alone from professional footballers that play for Manchester United. Shambolic!
Players can have an off game, but this is now numerous games of completely inept defensive work from so many. Not cutting out crosses, or at least trying to stop it by tightening the angle. Basic positioning was poor, clearing you lines non-existent and as for allowing the ball to drop and bounce past you with out cutting it out. No!
I now have no idea where we go from here.
