What did we learn last night? podcast #179

Manchester United 2 v Liverpool 4. Being honest, I don’t think I personally learnt anything new about United last night at all. Certain players aren’t good enough as first team players but that has been the case all season for me. I’ll always back them, but at the very best some are just squad rotation players.

No need to mention names, we know who they are. Over time Ole has moved on or replaced certain players which has been good to see. Unfortunately there are a handful of positions we still need major strengthening in. Hopefully this summer that will happen. It has to.

As on way too many occasions this season we have given the ball away cheaply with very poor passing and that cannot keep happening. The count for misplaced passes in our own half must be incredible. It’s not even five or ten times in games, sometimes you’re talking twenty odd stray passes. Basics!

That third goal for them lot straight after half-time summed up United’s whole performance for me. Bringing it out from the back, blind passes, dribbling it out, not clearing it, fumbled shot and players here there and everywhere. Absolute shambles! No fight either! Not a good performance United.
