Viva (De Gea!) Ronaldo - podcast #200

Manchester United 2 v Villarreal 1. Scenes at the end of the match last night as Ronaldo won it for us in injury-time, brilliant! However, if it wasn’t for a certain David De Gea we might not have been in a position to win it. Viva Ronaldo with the winner, but De Gea pulled off some superb saves.

Get in! You just can’t beat celebrating last minute winners! Yes, we weren’t great first half, with Villareal really getting at us and controlling the game whilst creating numerous chances. Especially down their left-hand side where Diogo Dalot had a torrid evening with mistake after mistake. He wasn’t the only one, but he clearly stood out and had a really poor game.

United kept going though and were better second-half, but once Villarreal took the lead we stepped it up even more. Ole’s changes and substitutions worked as well, with Lingard and Cavani both coming on and making an impact. Along with Matic and Fred who got involved too. A big win in the scheme of things. Viva Ronaldo!
