Super League, protests, Elland Rd – podcast #174

Leeds United 0 v Manchester United 0. What an extraordinary week, not just a Manchester United, but as a football fan in general. From the announcement of the disgraceful idea of a European Super League, to outrage from and protests from fans at Old Trafford and other grounds. To a fairly drab Elland Road scoreless draw.

Last Sunday and Monday I don’t think I could have been any more angry at the thoughts of the planned proposals, but thankfully throughout the week all seems to have changed. Still, the deed has now been done, nothing changes that and those responsible and in charge of our wonderful club need removing for good. Enough is enough.

As for the game today, I didn’t think it was as bad as was made out, unfortunately both teams realistically now having nothing to play for in the league and of course neither wanted to lose against the other. Personally I’d never given up on winning the league but that does now look fully over. Roll on the semi-finals against Roma now.
