Sevilla 2 v Manchester United 1. On the 11th August 2019 United beat Chelsea 4-0 at Old Trafford in what was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first game in charge of us at the start of a season. Three semi-finals defeats, a third place finish in the Premier League and over a year later, his first full season in charge of United finished today.
I’m absolutely gutted tonight after our defeat and no chance of winning any silverware. There will of course be plenty of pointing the figure and blaming various parties after the defeat, especially with the defending for both of Seville’s goals. Mistakes were made yes and that has to be addressed, but I’m convinced they will.
However, for the first season in many years our club is going in the right direction and I’ve never been most positive in what is happening on the field under Ole. I’ll explain more more in my latest blog.
